When I first participated in an IAFOR conference in Osaka, Japan, what struck me most favourably was the interdisciplinary aspect. I have been to many congresses, symposia, conferences, etc., all over the world. The absolute majority of them, invariably, were intercultural and international. IAFOR’s was the first and only one that was all this plus interdisciplinary. I think it is the best idea, achievement, find, godsend (native speakers of English, choose the right word, it is your language) of IAFOR’s.
